Robert has more than 20 years of experience in the origination and execution of buy- and sell-side transactions as well as cash-flow-based financing (enterprise values €20-850 million). He is a specialist in M&A and corporate finance.
After graduating from the University of Vienna with a degree in International Business Administration, Robert began his career in the Equity Capital Markets division of CA IB Investmentbank, Austria’s leading investment bank at the time. From 2001 to 2007, he was responsible for acquisition financing for companies and financial investors at Investkredit Bank. As head of M&A advisory, he provided support to medium-sized corporate clients on the buy and sell side. From 2007 onward, he spearheaded the growth of the medium-sized M&A business in Austria for Credit Suisse, leading the team until 2021.
In 2021 and 2022, he expanded his experience in the real estate industry by supporting PEMA Holding as managing director in M&A and financing matters, as well as in business development.
In 2023, he established RE Deal Advisory GmbH, a professional advisory firm catering to successful entrepreneurs in diverse industries. The company specializes in offering personal, customized, and confidential guidance on M&A strategies and their execution, along with specialized corporate finance consulting.
In his role as a trusted advisor, he personally represents the concerns of his clients at the interface between the corporate sphere and private wealth. He provides counsel to numerous families, both on an individual basis and in official capacities, such as on the advisory boards of private foundations and on supervisory boards. In addition to his role as a former member of the supervisory board of DAN Küchen, he is a member of the supervisory board of ILAG (Industrieliegenschaftenverwaltung AG), an industrial and investment holding company.
He has extensive experience lecturing on mergers and acquisitions, company valuation, and corporate finance, and has contributed to several book projects on company valuation, capital structure, and company succession.
